SLAS Survey PLEASE FILL OUT!

Dear all,

We are writing to ask you to take a few minutes to answer some questions about the free academic help services provided by the Student Learning Advisory Service (SLAS).  An email was sent out about this service at the end of November and another e-mail recently to remind September and inform January students. This is the first time SLAS has been used by BSIS students so we would like to gather some feedback .

Your responses will help us get a sense of how students are using SLAS and / or the FDR drop-in sessions. We are not asking for personal details – just some insight into what kind of help you were looking for and whether you felt SLAS delivered. The responses will be shared with Amanda Klekowski von Koppenfels.

Questions if you contacted SLAS:
1.    What kind of help were you looking for when you contacted SLAS? (Please provide a brief explanation. Help with essay planning? English grammar? Referencing?)
2.    Are you satisfied with the help you received from SLAS? Would you contact them again?
Questions for ALL students:
1.    If you chose not to use SLAS, what was your reasoning? (Please provide a brief explanation: Do you require a service that was not offered and you would like us to look into getting access to? Do you prefer the FDR sessions?)
2.    Will you use SLAS services, the FDR drop-in sessions or both this term?
3.    Would you be interested in having an SLAS advisor hold a workshop at BSIS?
We would be very grateful if you could take the time to answer these questions! Your responses will help us understand what sort of services BSIS students want! Thank you.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact us at hea2@kent.ac.uk (Hazel) and mt390@kent.ac.uk (Maggie).

Best,
