Subject: Email disruption this week

There will be a possible 2-hour interruption to your email access one evening this week from 7pm onwards (see advice on preparing for this below). It will probably be tomorrow evening (Tuesday 19 March) if all goes as planned. We will email you to confirm the exact date/time as soon as we can and will post updates at https://blogs.kent.ac.uk/isnews/2013/03/05/emailupgrade/

To prepare for this you could save copies of critical work or email contact details elsewhere in case you need them and can’t log in.

Accessing email

–    Make sure you always use https://live.kent.ac.uk to access mail
–    You may need to clear your browser cache and delete cookies – here’s how: www.kent.ac.uk/itservices/email/student
–    Contact the Library support desk if you want any advice on the above: 01227 82 4999

The email upgrade has so far progressed with minimal disruption for most users. Thanks for bearing with us and rest assured we are working hard to finish the job as soon as possible and with minimal impact on users, and to keep you informed along the way.
