International Dinner Reminder

Dear BSIS students,

Don’t forget to buy your ticket for the International Dinner! Ticket sales everyday during the late opening hours provided by one of our BGU members! This week Ben McPherson will also be selling tickets in the common room Friday from 3-5pm!

Many of you have been wondering what the International Dinner is about. Well I will try to explain this here.

The annual International Dinner is the official event to end the year at BSIS. It has been a long tradition for the Brussels campus and it is seen as the highlight of the year. You spend an evening with all of your friends, have great food, lots of drinks and a fun night with dancing etc. In addition, we will hear a speech by the dean recognizing students and professors for their work during the last year at BSIS.

Why is it called International Dinner? We are around 180 students from more than 44 different countries. We are international, come from different backgrounds and cultures and we should celebrate the variety at BSIS – after all we are a pretty amazing crowd 🙂

The pricing: We know that 45€ seems a lot for some students, but think about this. Every ticket is worth 75€. The BGU is already subsidizing 30€ per ticket! Please don’t forget that we are in Brussels – the capital of Europe and it is just not that cheap here. We offer you a Cava reception, a buffet including wine and soft drinks, an open bar after the dinner and of course a party with DJ afterwards.

This event is our tradition – let us keep it alive! Buy your tickets now and don’t wait until the last second. Let us all celebrate the end of the term and for some of us sadly, the end of BSIS.

If you have anymore questions regarding the dinner just shoot me a Facebook message  or email me (th304@kent.ac.uk) and I will try to answer it as soon as possible 🙂

Best,

Tara
