Students Network Alumni and Practitioners in Brussels

Discovering the Brussels Job and Internship Market

On Thursday 25 October the Brussels School of International Studies will host its bi-annual networking event in the Meridien Hotel, Brussels. The event brings together ‘ambassadors’ from a myriad of Brussels-based institutions as well as BSIS alumni and will provide students with an opportunity to learn how to network as well as how to learn about the Brussels ‘hidden’ job market.

Representatives of the following institutions, amongst many others, will be present:

  • Medecins Sans Frontieres
  • United Nations Regional Information Centre
  • European External Action Service
  • European Parliament
  • European Commission
  • World Vision
  • German Marshall Fund
  • International Crisis Group
  • Open Society European Policy Institute
  • Migration Policy Group
  • Nato
  • Mostra
  • Weber Shandwick
  • Grayling
  • American Chamber of Commerce
  • Partners for Democratic Change International

Organised by Mona Shair of Key2Advance, the event allows students to interview ambassadors and alumni and to ask about their career track since graduation, what their typical day was like, what skills, values and working style are necessary to be successful in their chosen career and what their organisation looks for in an intern or potential employee.
