Professor Vickerman to deliver special lecture at Argentine transport conference

Professor Roger Vickerman in Argentina will attend the XVI Argentine Conference of Road Administration and Traffic in Cόrdoba between 22 and 26 October 2012. The conference brings together traffic professionals, academics, technicians, businessmen, consultants and public officials from around the world to share their knowledge.

Professor Vickerman will deliver a special lecture entitled “Myth and Truth in the Search for Widespread Transport Benefits”. Recent research studies on the widespread economic impact of investment in transport infrastructures can improve the transport project assessment practice. Analysis of the arguments in favor of considering the widespread impacts and their treatment. Recommendations which might improve the quality of public policy decision-making.
