The Blasphemy and Freedom of Expression Workshop and Festival is a two day event, open to all. Pop in or come for the whole event. Come and listen, and speak up/out. Line-up includes films, a comedy gig –Stand-Up Blasphemy– and provocative interventions and panel discussions from activists, artists, performers, lawyers and journalists–as well as international academics, including several speakers from different faculties at the University of Kent. Participants include the director of Inside Pussy Riot (Les Enfants Terribles); Inna Shevchenko (FEMEN); Gurpreet Shaur Bhatti (whose play Bezhti was run off the stage by violent protests); and film directors including Shakila Maan and Gita Sahgal.
