Are you a postgraduate student with a passion for your subject and\u00a0the desire to help others reach\u00a0their\u00a0potential?\u00a0Would you like to have an impact on students at a pivotal time in\u00a0their learning journey?\u00a0The University\u2019s Partnership Development Office is looking for\u00a0PG students to join our team of Academic Mentors to support students at our University of Kent Academies Trust schools. This is an opportunity to work with experienced outreach staff,\u00a0subject specialists, teachers, and a supportive team of other mentors to develop and deliver regular mentoring sessions.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This\u00a0paid\u00a0opportunity will be for the\u00a0academic year 2021-2022,\u00a0with the potential to continue in the future, and will including training and regular support. Initially you will be working with year 13 students,\u00a0but there may be the opportunity to work with younger students in the future if you wish.\u00a0The mentoring will predominantly take place online in 2021-2022, with some occasional events onsite at the schools in Medway (depending on Covid regulations).\u00a0You will initially be required to deliver mentoring 1 or 2 hours a week on a Wednesday afternoon\u00a0during school terms (starting\u00a0September\/October 2021), with additional preparation time also paid.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We are interested in hearing from postgraduates studying in the following areas or with relevant subject knowledge up to A level\u00a0or equivalent:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

English Literature<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Biology<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Physics<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Chemistry<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

History<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sociology<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Criminology<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Spanish<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

French<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
