{"id":2480,"date":"2020-02-06T16:35:36","date_gmt":"2020-02-06T16:35:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/biosciences\/?p=2480"},"modified":"2020-02-06T16:35:36","modified_gmt":"2020-02-06T16:35:36","slug":"farewell-to-kay-foster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/biosciences\/2020\/02\/06\/farewell-to-kay-foster\/","title":{"rendered":"Farewell to Kay Foster"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">January 31st not only saw the UK saying farewell to the EU, it also saw the School of Biosciences saying farewell to Dr Kay Foster. <\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 8.0pt;line-height: 105%\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;color: #201f1e;background: white\">Kay initially joined the School as a postdoctoral researcher in 1983 working on tubulins as a member of Keith Gull\u2019s research group. Subsequently, following a short maternity break, Kay returned in 1995 to take up a part-time lectureship in the School.
