MSc Infectious Diseases<\/p>\n

MSc Reproductive Medicine: Science and Ethics<\/p>\n

The Royal Society of Biology<\/span><\/u><\/a> (RSB)\u00a0accreditation scheme identifies course of particular quality and rigour, and ones that provide the knowledge and skills required by employers in the life sciences sector.\u00a0\u00a0For students, this means that they can be confident that\u00a0our courses meet the needs of employers\u00a0and\u00a0can be assured of the educational quality of our provision.<\/p>\n

In awarding accreditation, the panel scrutinized our courses, met with staff and students and inspected our teaching and research facilities. The panel noted several areas\u00a0or good practice, including the interactive style of teaching, the development of research skills, the academic advice and pastoral care available, and the ability of students to use cutting-edge research equipment as part of their course. They also praised Kent’s strategy for MSc-level research project provision, which recently led to a research article<\/a> published in the open-access, international peer-reviewed journal\u00a0PLoS One<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Master’s accreditation\u00a0supplements existing RSB accreditation of\u00a0our undergraduate provision, so that all of our taught programmes are now RSB-accredited at either standard, advanced or Master’s level.\u00a0At the time of writing, the University of Kent is the only institution with MSc programmes accredited by the Royal Society of Biology.<\/p>\n
