These prizes were launched as part of the University\u2019s 50<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary year and recognise outstanding research across the University. Rebecca O\u2019Connor, a PhD student from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/bio\/profiles\/staff\/griffin.html\">Griffin lab <\/a>receives the overall <em>University Prize for Postgraduate Research<\/em> while Karen Baker from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/bio\/profiles\/staff\/mulvihill.html\">Mulvihill lab<\/a> receives the <em>Faculty of Sciences Prize for Postgraduate Research<\/em>.
