Much has been made in recent years about the promise of synthetic biology. Professor Martin Warren leads a team of researchers who have used this approach to unravel how vitamin B12 is made in cells. The work was published in the journal Nature Chemical Biology. Find out more about the work and how it might lead to developments in the treatment of infectious disease and cancer.
Professor Warren is the Head of the School of Biosciences and brings his research expertise to teaching undergraduate students about metabolic processes in biology and how imbalances in these processes lead to disease.
