The beginning of a new year, a new decade, marks the launch of the School of Biosciences 50th anniversary celebrations, Bio@50.
Since its early beginnings as the Biological Laboratory based at Beverley Farm, staff and students have achieved considerable success in many walks of life. It is their achievements we will be celebrating, and in so doing we seek to renew and strengthen our links with our thousands of alumni scattered across the globe. These achievements will also be highlighted in a special Bio@50 commemorative publication that will be available later this year.
Throughout 2020 there will be a series of Bio@50 events and activities culminating in several special celebratory events on 10th, 11th and 12th September when we will invite both current and former students and staff to help us celebrate Bio@50. This will include a Biosciences “Open House and BBQ” on Saturday 12th September on the Canterbury campus and to which all alumni and their families will be invited. More details of these and other events will be posted in due course via social media and email.
If you would like to be kept up-to-date with Bio@50 by email then please complete a contact form or keep an eye on our Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook pages. In the meantime, if you require more information about Bio@50, please contact Mick Tuite.
