Dr Jenny Tullet, Lecturer in Biogerontology, in the School of Biosciences, has been awarded the Faculty of Sciences Prize for Consolidator Research.
The award is in recognition of Dr Tullet’s research into the molecules underlying the ageing process by winning one of this year’s 2018 University Research Prizes. Recently, her laboratory has been involved in identifying a role for the RNA Polymerase III enzyme in regulating lifespan in collaboration with other groups at UCL and the University of Groningen. This work was published in the scientific journal Nature. The prizes were launched as part of the University’s 50th anniversary year and recognise outstanding research across the University.
Congratulations to Jenny who will be presented with her prize at an Awards Ceremony in April.
