Research Seminar: Building integrin adhesions in development and evolution.

Professor Nick Brown, Department of Physiology, University of Cambridge

Tuesday 1st November, 1.00 p.m., Stacey Lecture Theatre 1

We use Drosophila development as our test tube to dissect mechanisms of integrin-mediated adhesion to the extracellular matrix, tackling these questions: 1) How is the adhesion structure built? 2) What are the roles of the many adhesome components? 3) How did the integrin machinery arise during evolution? 4) Can we establish an integrated model of integrin adhesion sites?
