Biosciences Supports KM Teacher of the Year Awards 2016

AT KMToTyv1The 2016 KM Teacher of the Year Awards were staged at the impressive setting of historic Leeds Castle, Kent, on Thursday 19 May. The finalists were invited to attend the glittering awards dinner, this being the second year the event has taken place.
Dr Anastasios Tsaousis, (pictured on right) Lecturer in Molecular and Evolutionary Parasitology from the School of Biosciences at the University of Kent, presented Carey Noble from Strood Academy, with the Overall Kent Biosciences Teacher of the Year Award.

Following dinner, the presentation of awards were announced and a formal welcome was given by the Lord Lieutenant of Kent, Viscount De L’isle, MBE.

The lucky winner will have the opportunity to bring a small group of pupils to the School of Biosciences at the University of Kent, to experience a day of ‘hands on’ practical experiments in our well-equipped teaching labs.
