While the School’s COVID-related research has continued during the lockdown, the rest of our research labs are now re-opening, with our postgraduate students and research staff re-starting their laboratory work. A host of new measures have been put in place to make the School COVID-secure and labs are running rota systems so that social distancing requirements can be met.
Professor Dan Mulvihill (Head of School) said:
I’m delighted to have research activity returning to our labs. It is critical for our students and externally funded projects that we continue this essential work. I’d like to thank Sarah Reed, our Science Support Manager, and the Estates Department, for their tireless effort to develop and implement new working protocols so that our labs can operate safely in the current coronavirus pandemic.”
