Farewell to Kay Foster

Dr Kay Foster

January 31st not only saw the UK saying farewell to the EU, it also saw the School of Biosciences saying farewell to Dr Kay Foster.

Kay initially joined the School as a postdoctoral researcher in 1983 working on tubulins as a member of Keith Gull’s research group. Subsequently, following a short maternity break, Kay returned in 1995 to take up a part-time lectureship in the School. Over the last 25 years Kay has made huge and lasting contributions to our learning and teaching at all levels and has been particularly innovative in the development of practical and numerical skills leading to her promotion to Senior Lecturer in 2013.

With Kay’s leaving, she takes with her a wealth of  knowledge and experience which will prove a challenge to replace.
