New MSc at the Bioscience and Business interface

Delivering a laboratory milestone that underpins a new bioscience business concept

We are pleased to be launching (in September 2019) a new taught MSc in Biotechnology & Business. This is split approximately 75:25 with our colleagues in Kent Business School and will give students a grounding in some essential business modules (Marketing, Financial & Management Accounting and Strategy) whilst building on their bioscience experience.

Within the School of Biosciences the course will comprise advanced bioscience modules, a module specifically focused on Translating Bioscience to Business, and an extended research project that is presented as a prospective business case. The latter will draw on our extensive range of existing MSc courses (Biomedicine, Cancer Biology and Therapeutics, Infectious Diseases, Biotechnology & Bioengineering and Reproductive Medicine: Science & Ethics) and likely to focus on delivering a laboratory milestone that underpins a new bioscience business concept.

Full details to be released soon but don’t hesitate to drop Dr Gary Robinson any informal enquiries.
