Fellow of the American Academy of Microbiology

Professor Mick Tuite from the School of Biosciences has been elected to a Fellowship in the American Academy of Microbiology. The Academy, the honorific leadership group within the American Society for Microbiology, recognizes excellence, originality, and leadership in the microbiological sciences. Fellows are elected annually through a highly selective, peer-review process that is based on records of scientific achievement and original contributions that have advanced microbiology. Professor Tuite is one of only two UK-based microbiologists to be elected in 2018.
