BioProNET, together with the University of Kent at the School of Biosciences, recently took part in a 2-day ‘Chemistry at Work’ event organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry and Canterbury Christ Church University. Students learned about plasmid DNA, got hands on-experience of size exclusion chromatography and investigated protein folding with the aid of modelling balloons.
The event is organised by Kent & Medway STEM who hold the contract for STEMNET at Canterbury Christchurch University, who have hosted the event for the past five years on behalf of Royal Society of Chemistry.
