Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are 17 global objectives introduced by the United Nations in 2015. Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) metrics are used as a framework by investors and stakeholders to asses a company’s impact on society and the environment.

ESG ratings are scores given to companies which evaluate their performance against environmental, social and governance criteria.
