{"id":488,"date":"2019-12-19T12:00:57","date_gmt":"2019-12-19T12:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/athenaswan-news\/?p=488"},"modified":"2019-12-19T12:00:57","modified_gmt":"2019-12-19T12:00:57","slug":"sexual-assault-responders-required","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/athenaswan-news\/?p=488","title":{"rendered":"Sexual Assault Responders required"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Student Support and Wellbeing are looking to recruit staff to the Sexual Assault Responder (SAR) team.<\/p>\n<p>The role of the Sexual Assault Responder is to provide immediate support to victims of serious sexual assault or rape at the Canterbury and Medway campuses out of hours (between 17.00 and 9.00) and at weekends. Full training is provided, and SARs operate on a rota system. The role is to provide advice and guidance to victims of serious sexual assault or rape with regards to aftercare support procedures. The role is NOT a counselling role.<\/p>\n<p>SARs receive a \u00a3100 remuneration for joining the team and completing the training, and receive \u00a370 for the first hour of a call out, with time and a half for subsequent hours.
