The results from the last Athena SWAN submission round (May 2019) have been announced and we are delighted to announce that two Schools were successful in securing Athena SWAN Bronze.<\/p>\n
Congratulations to the School of Biosciences for successfully renewing their existing Bronze award, and to Kent Law School for securing their first Bronze award!<\/strong><\/p>\n We had five Schools submitting their applications in May; unfortunately the Schools of Anthropology and Conservation, Arts, and Physical Sciences were not successful this time around. We will support them with their re-submissions in the near future. Achieving an award is challenging; the overall success rate for Bronze is 57%. Unsuccessful applications tend to be the result of a failure to meet certain criteria within the submission itself, rather than a reflection of either the culture or commitment of the submitting department.<\/p>\n Read more about the Athena SWAN submission and success rate statistics here<\/a>.<\/p>\n These results bring the total number of Schools holding an Athena SWAN award to 10.<\/p>\n Congratulations again to Biosciences and KLS and good luck to SAC, Arts and SPS!<\/p>\n
