University of Kent invites its staff members to a lunchtime event that the Athena SWAN team are hosting on International Women\u2019s Day, Friday 8th<\/sup> March.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In line with this year\u2019s theme, #balanceforbetter<\/em> we are holding an informal Q+A on balancing work and life as a parent. We will have a panel who will be sharing their own experiences and the discussion will also cover how we ensure colleagues without parental responsibilities can achieve a good balance.<\/p>\n

We particularly welcome our male colleagues to this event, especially given that we know from our recent survey for International Men\u2019s Day that there is a feeling that the work on gender equality, including Athena SWAN and some of the parental support is primarily targeted at women.<\/p>\n
