You may be aware that 2018 marks the 100-year anniversary of the Representation of the People Act. The act gave some women and all men the right to vote in local and national elections. As the Centenary celebrations of the Suffragette movement are coming to an end, the University of Kent’s Athena SWAN team, together with the Gulbenkian, wants to offer one more moment to reflect on what happened 100 years ago.
All staff and students are welcome to this free screening of the film ‘Suffragette‘ on the 21st of November 5:30pm at the Gulbenkian Cinema.
