We are seeking an enthusiastic person with initiative and drive to join a small but busy team supporting the democratic processes of the Maidstone Council and helping to ensure that decisions can be taken effectively and lawfully. This will involve co-ordinating and servicing meetings of the Council\u2019s Committees, working closely with Councillors and Senior Officers, and will include preparing and publishing agendas, reports and minutes.<\/p>\n
Applicants for the post will need to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with Councillors and Senior Officers, and must have strong written and spoken communication skills. Interpersonal and organisational skills are also essential requirements of the post and you will regularly be required to attend evening meetings, for which payment will be made. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a busy, high-pressure environment.<\/p>\n
