They are open to all students, at any stage of their studies, and also to recent graduates. These appointments should be booked in advance by calling in to the CES building, by phone or online through <strong>Target Connect<\/strong> (see below).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Careers and Employability Events: <\/strong>We run a range of talks, workshops and presentations throughout the academic year. The highlight is the Employability Festival in Autumn Term, which involves more than 250 hours of events spread over two weeks, including the annual Careers Fair. These events are listed on the University calendar and can be booked online through <strong>Target Connect <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Target Connect <\/strong>is our one-stop shop for students to find internship, graduate and placement vacancies and to book for careers guidance interviews and careers events on campus <a href=\"https:\/\/careers.kent.ac.uk\/\">https:\/\/careers.kent.ac.uk\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Employability Schemes: <\/strong>The University offers numerous schemes to help students gain work experience and build their employability skills. These include Employability Points, the Global Skills Award, Kent Union\u2019s Employability &amp; Volunteering Toolkit and the Kent Experiences of Work (KEW) programme,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 See <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/employability\/\">www.kent.ac.uk\/employability<\/a> for details.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CES website<\/strong>: see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/ces\/publications\/CGOnline.pdf\">www.kent.ac.uk\/ces\/publications\/CGOnline.pdf<\/a> for an overview.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Careers Award: <\/strong>Students can gain this award through completing quizzes and short assignments online on Moodle. It improves career planning, CV and job hunting skills, helps with career choice and improves students\u2019 chances of getting a graduate-level job.
