{"id":3555,"date":"2022-06-20T15:33:38","date_gmt":"2022-06-20T14:33:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/aspirations\/?p=3555"},"modified":"2022-06-20T15:38:09","modified_gmt":"2022-06-20T14:38:09","slug":"volunteer-group-facilitator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/aspirations\/2022\/06\/20\/volunteer-group-facilitator\/","title":{"rendered":"Volunteer Group Facilitator (Psychology work experience)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/ek360.co.uk\/\">EK360<\/a> is looking for a <strong>work experience student<\/strong> to fill the role of <strong>Volunteer Group Facilitator<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>We are a community interest company and our team hear directly from the public concerning health and social care issues, this also includes reading about people\u2019s experiences as well as in person or over the phone.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to support our team in a group setting to discuss and work through any challenging Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties they have come across.\u00a0 As well as providing a neutral listening ear, the objective of this role will be to work with colleagues to develop additional coping mechanisms that they can use going forward. This would ideally suit a final year or recently graduated Psychology student.<\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have the skills and ability to ensure everyone is heard and supported to build their resilience<\/li>\n<li>Strong group work skills.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to deal with information in a confidential manner and respond with sensitivity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The group sessions are held via Microsoft Teams every other Friday at 1:30pm \u2013 2:30pm, for a duration of one year.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>What can student expect to gain from us?<\/h2>\n<p>An interesting, supportive, varied experience.\u00a0 Insight into the realities of health and social care at the frontline.
