{"id":3375,"date":"2022-05-11T13:43:34","date_gmt":"2022-05-11T12:43:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/aspirations\/?p=3375"},"modified":"2022-09-20T10:20:24","modified_gmt":"2022-09-20T09:20:24","slug":"are-you-interested-in-career-mentoring-applications-now-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/aspirations\/2022\/05\/11\/are-you-interested-in-career-mentoring-applications-now-open\/","title":{"rendered":"Interested in career mentoring?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Kent Career Mentoring 2022 (cohort is now full for this year)<\/h2>\n<p>We are inviting students who will be at stage 2 or 3, or\u00a0 enrolled on a Kent postgraduate course, in September, to participate in a career mentoring programme starting in October.<\/p>\n<p>Kent Career Mentoring aims to connect Kent students with Kent alumni, to receive guidance and support in achieving their career ambitions.\u00a0We endeavour to match students with an alumnus working in a profession they are interested in. As a mentee you\u2019ll experience a wide range of benefits from your mentoring partnership which could make a big difference to your future career prospects.<\/p>\n<p>Taking part in Kent Career Mentoring will allow you to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gain first-hand insight into a particular profession or sector<\/li>\n<li>Develop your employability skills and grow in confidence<\/li>\n<li>Connect with relevant professionals to build your career network<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interested students will need to commit to talking with their mentors at least four times over a four-month period.
