You will work alongside our GCN-licenced countryside partnership officers who will train you up and share their knowledge of wildlife ponds and the importance they have to the wider landscape.

The e-DNA monitoring runs from 15th April until 30th June when ponds are most active and we envisage needing help 2-3 days per week during this time. We have around 80 ponds to check and so your own transport is a necessity as most of the work will be in remote rural locations such as the Low Weald. Ideally the Volunteer Pond Officer would be active with a love of the outdoors and be able to carry a small amount of kit to each pond site.

For more information and to apply:

please email: kentishstour@kent.gov.uk

or call 03000 410900

Closing date: 28th February 2022

WANTED: Volunteer Pond Officer – for an 11-week project in Spring 2022 Calling all keen conservationists and nature-loving students!
