Our teams include information technology, monetary policy and banking supervision.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll also have the opportunity to learn more by attending talks and networking events.<\/p>\n<p>The type of work you would do could involve:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>supporting the UK\u2019s financial system<\/li>\n<li>working in the financial markets<\/li>\n<li>supervising international banks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When you apply, we\u2019ll ask you about your areas of interest. Find out more about\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bankofengland.co.uk\/careers\/early-careers\/what-we-do\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">what we do<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If your performance is outstanding, we may consider you for a place on our Penultimate Year Internship or Industrial Placement program.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"section-title-medium\">Penultimate year internship<\/h2>\n<p>Length: Eight weeks over the summer<br \/>\nSalary: \u00a383.65 per day<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"section-title-small\">Entry requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>In your penultimate year of your first degree<\/li>\n<li>Any degree subject<\/li>\n<li>Expecting a 2.1 degree classification<\/li>\n<li>120 UCAS points from 3 A-Levels (or equivalent)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"section-title-small\">What will you learn?<\/h3>\n<p>You will learn about our role in the UK\u2019s economy and gain valuable \u2018on-the-job\u2019 skills. You\u2019ll join one of our teams and support analysts, economists or supervisors.<\/p>\n<p>We would assign you to one of the following teams:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Banking Payments &amp; Innovation<\/li>\n<li>Data &amp; Statistics Division<\/li>\n<li>Financial Market Infrastructure<\/li>\n<li>Financial Stability Strategy &amp; Risk<\/li>\n<li>Insurance<\/li>\n<li>Markets<\/li>\n<li>Resolution<\/li>\n<li>UK Deposit Takers Supervision<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You\u2019ll also have the opportunity to learn more by attending talks and networking events.<\/p>\n<p>When you apply, we\u2019ll ask you about your areas of interest. Find out more about\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bankofengland.co.uk\/careers\/early-careers\/what-we-do\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">what we do<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If your performance is outstanding, we\u2019ll consider you for a place on our Graduate Programme or Postgraduate Internship.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"section-title-medium\">Postgraduate internship<\/h2>\n<p>Length: Eight weeks over the summer<br \/>\nSalary: \u00a388.46 per day<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"section-title-small\">Entry requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Completed an undergraduate degree and about to start a postgraduate degree in economics or finance<\/li>\n<li>expecting a 2.1 degree classification<\/li>\n<li>120 UCAS points from 3 A-Levels (or equivalent)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"section-title-small\">What will you learn?<\/h3>\n<p>You\u2019ll focus on a project, working closely with economists or analysts to collect and analyse data.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll introduce you to what the Bank of England does and you\u2019ll be able to attend talks and networking events.<\/p>\n<p>You could be working in one of the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Data &amp; Statistics<\/li>\n<li>Financial Stability Strategy &amp; Risk<\/li>\n<li>International<\/li>\n<li>Markets<\/li>\n<li>Monetary Analysis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When you apply we\u2019ll ask if you have any specific areas of interest.
