Hear from a panel of 5 alumni from the School of Psychology, as well as Emma Travers-Hill, School of Psychology Lecturer and Clinical Psychologist. With the opportunity to ask the speakers questions at the end of the event.<\/p>\n<p>Date: 10th March<br \/>\nTime: 6pm &#8211; 7.30pm<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/teams.microsoft.com\/l\/meetup-join\/19%3ameeting_Y2UzMmIxZGItZGI2My00MjYxLWI5NTEtMzZmZGY2YjkxZWFh%40thread.v2\/0?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%2251a9fa56-3f32-449a-a721-3e3f49aa5e9a%22%2c%22Oid%22%3a%22b8d70dd3-e6e0-42ce-8fbd-52457922387d%22%7d\">Link to join event<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The speakers for the event are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emma Travers-Hill<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>I started out my career in clinical research and following my PhD went onto my Clinical Doctorate.\u00a0 Since qualifying I have worked as a Clinical Psychologist in secondary care adult mental health services. More recently, I have been working at the University as a lecturer and have been setting up an honorary contract with the NHS to continue a little clinical work locally.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/people\/3609\/travers-hill-emma\">www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/people\/3609\/travers-hill-emma<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Daniela Zigova<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>My name is Daniela Zigova and I graduated from University of Kent in 2018 with a degree in Psychology. After graduating, I spent some time volunteering and landed my first job in primary mental health services for adults in Kent. I am currently working as a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner in an IAPT service in Bromley, where I provide CBT-based psychological interventions to adults with depression and anxiety disorders.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/daniela-zigova-msc-9560a516b\/\">https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/daniela-zigova-msc-9560a516b\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Emma Bannister<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>I have been working as a Research Officer at the Office for National Statistics (ONS) for just over a year. I am also badged to the Government Social Research (GSR) profession which is one of 8 professions in the Government Analysis Function. Currently I am working in data collection however Research Officers at the ONS can work in a variety of roles including production of statistics, conducting qualitative research and using admin data.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/emma-bannister-55a35a184\/\">https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/emma-bannister-55a35a184\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Alexandria Olton <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Alexandria Olton is a qualified Sport and Exercise psychologist, the Director of Mindology Trinidad and sport columnist for The Trinidad and Tobago Newsday. Alexandria works with a wide range of clients from Olympic level athletes to juniors and grassroots, in developing positive mental skills and achieving optimal performance. \u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/alexandria-olton-12404596\/\">https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/alexandria-olton-12404596\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sarah Sodimu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>I\u2019m Sarah and I work as an Assistant Psychologist in Paediatric Psychology and am doing my masters in Research in Clinical Psychology.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/sarah-sodimu-mbpss-242749179\/\">https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/sarah-sodimu-mbpss-242749179\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kyle Sherry<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>After graduating from the University of Kent in 2018, I pursued a Master\u2019s degree in Occupational Psychology. The content of this course, paired with my undergraduate degree, led me into a Change Management role within a local government setting. From here I moved into the Civil Service, where I currently work as an Insight &amp; Service Design Manager at the Health &amp; Safety Executive.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/kyle-sherry-ab957b151\/\">https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/kyle-sherry-ab957b151\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Annie Hastings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>My name is Annie Hastings, I am a mental health adviser with Mind, the mental health charity. I have experience working in the mental health sector in both charitable organisations and within the NHS.
