The Guardian is offering summer placements for two weeks for those aiming to start a career in journalism.<\/span><\/h2>\n
\n

The London office is running four schemes during the summer, one scheme for people with disabilities and multiple schemes for BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) applicants.<\/p>\n

Successful applicants will gain an insight into the profession, working across the newspaper and website.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll also have an experienced journalist as a mentor to offer advice on careers.<\/p>\n

You will gain an insight into the workings of the newspaper and website, on sections such as Features, Society and Multimedia.<\/p>\n

BAME all-editorial scheme<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 reference code\u00a0KIN0001UP<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

You will work across a number of sections such as Weekend Magazine, Books, G2, Global Development, The Guide, Society and Multimedia.<\/p>\n

BAME sport scheme\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 reference code\u00a0KIN0001UQ<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

You will work on our sports desk alongside our team of journalists and editors, learning how we cover the biggest sporting events across the globe.<\/p>\n

BAME\u00a0<\/strong>podcasting and audio storytelling scheme\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 reference code\u00a0KIN0001UR<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

You will work alongside our podcast producers, editors and hosts in our audio department.<\/p>\n

BAME photography scheme\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 reference code\u00a0KIN0001US<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

You will work alongside our photographers and picture editors, learning about different aspects of photo-journalism.<\/p>\n
