We would be pleased if you could share them on your university&#8217;s internal networks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Position: International Volunteer \/ Intern, fulltime<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Office: PROJECT-E Hospitality Institute<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Start Date: By arrangement<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Duration: Short-term: One month (30 days)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Deadline: Year-round<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>PROJECT-E is looking for highly motivated students, recent graduates or young professionals who are interested in the fields of NGOs, women empowerment and education, to support PROJECT-E Team in the Hospitality Institute in Addis Ababa.<\/p>\n<p>About the Organisation<br \/>\nThe PROJECT-E team consists of about twenty students and young professionals living and working all over Europe and North America. Together, they are managing the European organisation, as well as coordinating and discussing the development of the project in weekly calls. Most importantly, they all work voluntarily.<br \/>\nTeam Europe supports the PROJECT-E Hospitality Institute in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, where 100 young women from destitute social backgrounds get the yearly chance to pursue a vocational training program in hotel operations. Furthermore, they receive social and financial support. Fourteen local staff members and several international and local volunteers run the project and its daily operations under the supervision of a project manager and a country representative.<\/p>\n<p>Your Responsibilities<br \/>\nResponsibilities will depend on the intern\u2019s interests and strengths. However, the general responsibilities may include:<br \/>\n\u2022 Supporting in daily administrative tasks<br \/>\n\u2022 Teaching of the intern\u2019s native language (English or French)<br \/>\n\u2022 Prepare and implement social activities for the students<br \/>\n\u2022 Developing income generating activities to support the organisation\u2019s funding efforts<br \/>\n\u2022 Preparing and implementing business\/hospitality\/lift skills related workshops<br \/>\n\u2022 Conducting research, writing reports and articles<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinating between PROJECT-E and international organizations in Ethiopia and abroad<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinating and communicating between the European and Ethiopian team members of PROJECT-E<\/p>\n<p>Requirements<br \/>\n\u2022 Willingness to work full time on a voluntary basis from Monday \u2013 Friday 08:30am till 05:00pm<br \/>\n\u2022 Involvement as a web-based volunteer in Team Europe before your departure to understand our structures and work flow<br \/>\n\u2022 Excellent English writing and speaking skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Proficient skills in using Microsoft Office applications<br \/>\n\u2022 Interest in the fields of non-profit work, women empowerment, hospitality operations, development cooperation or start-up businesses<br \/>\n\u2022 High level of proactive and independent work style, communication skills, ability to work in a team and willingness to go \u2018the extra mile&#8217;<br \/>\n\u2022 Open mindedness and the ability to adapt to the Ethiopian culture and lifestyle<\/p>\n<p>PROJECT-E Offers<br \/>\n\u2022 A high level of responsibility and independence<br \/>\n\u2022 The possibility of making a substantial difference in the life of 40 women per year and the opportunity to give our project your personal touch<br \/>\n\u2022 An inspiring work atmosphere in a young and motivated team<br \/>\n\u2022 Practical experience in an international non-governmental organisation<br \/>\n\u2022 Bi-annual meet up opportunities and a chance to connect with other like-minded professionals<br \/>\n\u2022 Free accommodation in the heart of Addis Ababa<br \/>\n\u2022 Free lunch during working days at the Hospitality Institute<br \/>\n\u2022 Assistance with the visa application process<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>To apply for this opening, please go to apply.project-e.eu and follow the application process.
