If you do, we want to hear from you as we have an exceptional opportunity available for a student to work with our dynamic, enthusiastic and well-respected team on a high profile project over the summer, gaining excellent experience for your CV and insight into the work of data intelligence.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Purpose of the Role<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kent County Council provides a wide range of services to Kent residents and has a range of statutory responsibilities to fulfil. \u00a0Due to the scale and size of Kent, analysis work is undertaken to support the numerous projects that are being undertaken by the Authority.<\/p>\n<p>This project follows on from work completed by a student last summer, to develop and transform intelligence held within the Authority, to provide an actionable intelligence package to led and support the project team.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Kent Country Council Person Specification<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ECDL training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and abilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Minimum:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of people<\/li>\n<li>Computer independence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Desirable:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge and understanding of the National Intelligence Model, intelligence gathering and analytical techniques.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and understanding of the restriction and best practice concerning intelligence sharing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good understanding of databases, how they work, and be able to interpret their output.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Due to the sensitive nature of the intelligence and systems that will be accessed as part of this project, the successful candidate\u00a0<strong>will need to be vetted by Kent Police to NPPV Level 2<\/strong>. There is no charge for this. The process takes between 6-8 weeks and must be passed before the placement commences. However, all applications will be accepted, and Intel realise that the timescales are flexible with the start date.
