The Channel 4 Production Training Scheme is for entry level talent who want to break into the media industry and are passionate about making television programmes.<\/p>\n
Applications for the next round of the Production Training Scheme with\u00a0unscripted companies<\/strong>\u00a0(factual, entertainment, documentaries etc) are open with 18 opportunities across\u202fthe UK \u2013 in\u00a0London, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham,\u202fBristol, Cardiff, Belfast\u202fand Glasgow.<\/strong><\/p>\n Due to Channel 4’s ongoing commitment to attracting, recruiting and employing disabled talent, we are opening 5 of the opportunities exclusively to Deaf and\/or disabled applicants. These will be based across Glasgow (Firecrest Films & Mighty Productions), Birmingham (North One Television), Manchester (Studio Lambert) and Leeds (True North). However, we would encourage Deaf and\/or disabled applicants to apply for\u00a0any<\/strong>\u00a0one of the 18 roles available.<\/p>\n Applicants applying for this scheme may already have a degree in Film and Television (or related) or have some previous experience of the television industry through running, work experience or\u00a0short term\u00a0placements, but no more than 6 months.<\/p>\n The scheme aims to offer opportunities to those currently underrepresented in the TV industry, so we are particularly keen to hear from\u00a0Deaf and\/or\u00a0disabled\u00a0people, ethnically diverse\u00a0people\u00a0and people from lower socio-economic groups.<\/p>\n If successful, you\u2019ll spend a week in TV Boot Camp to get things underway. Here, you\u2019ll hear from graduates of the scheme and Commissioning Editors who\u2019ll give you the lowdown on what it takes to\u00a0succeed.
