Do you dream of a career in content creation or TV? Take your first step with this unique year-long programme based at professional television station KMTV, right here at the University of Kent. Our students build careers and are appointed to non-entry level jobs in industry. They go on to work on documentaries, technical roles, presenting and even interview A-list celebrities like Will Smith and Zendaya. Join Channel Director Andy Richards to find out how KMTV could open up opportunities for you, that once seemed out of reach.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/careers.kent.ac.uk\/leap\/event.html?id=9727&amp;service=Careers+Service\">https:\/\/careers.kent.ac.uk\/leap\/event.html?id=9727&amp;service=Careers+Service<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Creative Careers: Creative Access Showcase, Monday 7<sup>th<\/sup> March 5pm \u2013 6pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A virtual high visibility event with a panel of creative professionals and alumni from Creative Access to share their creative journeys, what their current roles entail, top tips and guidance. This will be designed to appeal to\u202fall students, not only candidates from Black, Asian and diverse ethnic groups, disabled people or those from lower-socioeconomic backgrounds. Typically, this will be speaker introductions, panel discussion followed by Q&amp;A.\u202fCreative Access will\u202farrange a representative to host 3 panelists including Creative Access and University of Kent alumni spanning the creative industries, with varying levels of experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>April Brown \u2013 Programme Manager, Creative Access<\/strong><br \/>\nApril specialises in developing and managing inclusive, multi-disciplinary programmes for emerging creatives. She holds an MA in Arts &amp; Cultural Management from King&#8217;s College London and has worked with a range of organisations including\u202fSomerset House, Tate, LIFT and Theatre Royal Stratford East.\u202f\u202fShe is committed to supporting diverse talent to flourish.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rami<\/strong><strong>\u202f<\/strong><strong>Kadri, Digital Marketing Manager \u2013 MUSIC<br \/>\n<\/strong>Rami\u202fis a Digital Marketing Manager with over eight years\u2019 experience in the music industry and runs her own digital marketing agency &#8211; Two Tabs Social. She has led on a number of ground breaking social campaigns including two of the biggest and most successful artist campaigns across the Sony Music group for Little Mix.\u202fMore recently she has worked with artists such as Ms Banks, Pa Salieu, Potter Payper, Loski and Ivorian Doll as well as companies including Warner Music, 0207 Def Jam, LiveNation and Since93. Rami studied Criminology and Social Policy at the University of Kent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lydia Hamilton-Morl, Programme &amp; Digital Editor, ITV News \u2013 TELEVISION<br \/>\n<\/strong>Lydia has spent eight years working in television news, travelling around the British Isles with ITV, after studying Journalism at the University of Kent. She currently produces ITV Border&#8217;s flagship six o&#8217;clock news programme,\u00a0<em>Lookaround<\/em>, leading a team of journalists to create bold and distinctive TV news programmes and online content.
