The National Theatre are looking for a Casting Assistant to join our Casting Department.<\/p>\n
The Casting Department consists of the Head of Casting, Deputy Head of Casting, Casting Associate, Senior Casting Assistant, and a Casting Assistant. The department takes responsibility for the casting of up to 25 productions at the National Theatre every year, together with those produced by the Learning Department.<\/p>\n
This role will provide an introduction to working in Casting, and as part of a key team within a large-scale producing house, with opportunity for tangible learning and development experiences in this area of the industry.<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will have the following:
\n-Ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion
\n-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with people at all levels in person, by correspondence, and on the telephone.
\n-A knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, drama\/theatre, actors and acting
\n-Previous administration experience in an office environment, with good organisational skills, and ability to set-up and maintain administrative systems
\n-Good attention to detail, including the ability to proof-read and correct own work
