However it is important to start thinking about what you do next and to start preparing for the next steps in your career journey.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>C<\/strong><strong>areer help and advice<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The most important thing you can do is make the most of the services and resources that are available to you at university. The Careers and Employability Service offer help and advice and so much more to students and alumni for up to 3 years after you graduate:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Resources<\/strong> available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/ces\/index.html\">Careers and Employability\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/ces\/index.html\">website\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Events<\/strong> to help you improve your skills, learn from and talk to employers and alumni and help you in the recruitment process. All these events can be booked through <a href=\"https:\/\/careers.kent.ac.uk\/\">Target Connect<\/a>\u00a0via the events calendar.<\/li>\n<li><strong>1:1 appointments<\/strong> with a careers advisor, CV and application reviews, and quick guidance appointments bookable through\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/careers.kent.ac.uk\/\">Target Connect<\/a>\u00a0via the appointments tab.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Graduate jobs<\/strong>, internships, placements and opportunities advertised through the opportunities tab on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/careers.kent.ac.uk\/\">Target Connect<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Arts and Humanities Employability and Placement Office<\/strong><strong>r<\/strong> offers 1:1 help and advice with CV&#8217;s, applications, and finding Graduate jobs and Internships. Go to appointments and select online or on campus Arts and Humanities student appointment with Kate Buchan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Reflect on your Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Think about the skills you have developed as part of your degree and how they can be transferred to a graduate job. As an Arts and Humanities Student you will develop skills such as:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<ul>\n<li>Written and verbal communication<\/li>\n<li>Critical analysis<\/li>\n<li>Research skills<\/li>\n<li>Problem solving<\/li>\n<li>Time management<\/li>\n<li>Team working skills<\/li>\n<li>IT skills including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Teams etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You will need to back up these skills with examples of when you used them or how you developed them.
