Calling all History of Art and Curating students! This year there will be two work placement opportunities available through the Employability Points scheme at the fantastic art gallery\u00a0Lilford Gallery<\/a>!<\/b><\/p>\n Based in Canterbury, Lilford is a contemporary modern art gallery which catalogues work by artists such as Banksy, Antony Gormley, Damien Hurst and David Hockney.<\/p>\n Lilford Gallery are offering the opportunity for two students to undertake an extended placement with them over 12 weeks, working 1 day a week. Students will get involved in art curating, undertaking research into artists as well as working closely with artists exhibiting in the gallery and curating for events.\u00a0And to add further enticement into the mix, sister company Lilford Framing will also be offering an exciting opportunity to assist in the preparation for their Autumn show, which is set to launch during the Canterbury Festival in October 2023.<\/p>\n Due to the expertise required for these roles, they are being\u00a0exclusively<\/b>\u00a0offered to\u00a0Art History and Curating students<\/b>\u00a0who are registered on the Employability Points scheme at Kent! This really is a fantastic opportunity available to only a small pool of students!<\/b><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/b>All you need to be able to apply is\u00a0150 points<\/b>\u00a0on your EP account \u2013 points which are earned by doing anything co-curricular whilst you are studying (e.g. joining a society, being a student rep\/ambassador, volunteering, part time work, attending events or festivals \u2013 more ideas on our\u00a0website<\/a>).
