On Saturday 7th November 2015 from 10am-4pm<\/strong>, we will be holding our Arts at Kent Day<\/strong> which is part of the Humanities at Kent Day here at the University of Kent.<\/p>\n

Prospective Undergraduate applicants are invited to come along to spend a day with us in the School of Arts and experience what it is like to be a student with us by taking part in Drama, Film, History of Art or Media Arts taster sessions.<\/p>\n

You will get a real flavour for the topics we teach, be taught by our academic staff and will have a chance to socialise with our current students.<\/p>\n

Interested in joint honours? You can choose to split your day between two subject areas across the Humanities faculty, allowing you to get a feel for multiple subject areas.<\/p>\n

Lunch will be provided and there will also be opportunities to get more information about the School, the application process and life at Kent in general.<\/p>\n

Here are what students who attended last year’s Arts at Kent Day said about their experience…<\/strong><\/p>\n

“The taster sessions allowed me to see what studying the subject is about which has made me very enthusiastic about studying at Kent.”<\/p>\n

“All the activities were very well catered towards a group of people who had not met before so no one felt pressured or singled out.”<\/p>\n

“I felt about to speak about art passionately and in a way I can’t usually unless speaking to someone who shares the same passion as me and I greatly appreciated that opportunity.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

If you would like to attend our Arts at Kent Day 2015 please complete our booking form<\/a> by Friday 16th October 2015.<\/strong>\u00a0It includes all of the information about the different workshops that will be running and for some subjects you can choose which workshops you would like to attend.<\/p>\n

You will then be emailed your own personal timetable closer to the day.<\/p>\n

Please note, while we are happy for you to bring parents\/guardians along, they will be unable to attend the taster sessions with you due to limits on numbers. We will be able to provide them with a useful guide to Canterbury which they can use to explore the city for the day.<\/p>\n
