{"id":5179,"date":"2022-12-14T12:57:11","date_gmt":"2022-12-14T12:57:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/arts-news\/?p=5179"},"modified":"2022-12-14T13:15:12","modified_gmt":"2022-12-14T13:15:12","slug":"disability-history-at-kent-anna-neale-widdison","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/arts-news\/2022\/12\/14\/disability-history-at-kent-anna-neale-widdison\/","title":{"rendered":"Disability History at Kent &#8211; Anna Neale Widdison"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>I&#8217;m proud of the fact that I have ADHD, I think if I didn&#8217;t, I wouldn&#8217;t have achieved everything that I have, and I&#8217;ve achieved a lot.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/student\/dhm\">Disability History Month<\/a> is about amplifying the voices of disabled people, looking back at how things have changed over time, and being realistic and open about how much more progress we\u2019ve yet to make as an institution and as a society.\u202f\u00a0This year a series of short films were made called \u2018Our Stories\u2019 which is now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=AkjwLfmPqoI&amp;list=PL_voamVqJ_Zwrq549Khs9omgWN4JO8P2K&amp;index=9\">available on YouTube<\/a>.
