{"id":3926,"date":"2020-08-06T15:50:44","date_gmt":"2020-08-06T14:50:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/arts-news\/?p=3926"},"modified":"2020-08-06T15:50:44","modified_gmt":"2020-08-06T14:50:44","slug":"alumni-theatre-company-golkk-to-deliver-online-workshops-for-the-gulbenkian","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/arts-news\/2020\/08\/06\/alumni-theatre-company-golkk-to-deliver-online-workshops-for-the-gulbenkian\/","title":{"rendered":"Alumni theatre company GOLKK to deliver online workshops for The Gulbenkian"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.golkk.com\/\">GOLKK Theatre<\/a>, one of the Graduate Theatre Companies sponsored by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/arts\/index.html\">School of Arts<\/a>, will deliver two online workshops for The Gulbekian as part of their Go Create! series: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/thegulbenkian.co.uk\/events\/imagine-and-move-with-golkk\/\">Imagine and Move<\/a><\/em>, taking place at 10.30am on Friday 6 August 2020, and <a href=\"https:\/\/thegulbenkian.co.uk\/events\/an-introduction-to-physical-theatre-with-golkk\/\"><em>An Introduction to Physical Theatre<\/em>,<\/a> taking place at 1pm on Wednesday 12 August 2020.<\/p>\n<p>GOLKK &#8216;s work is driven by the notion that by starting with play they can create a theatrical experience which is open, honest and truly live, and its members share responsibility for all of the artistic aspects of GOLKK, including devising, dramaturgy, production, technical and visual design.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Throughout the <em>Imagine and Move<\/em> workshop, participants will be guided by GOLKK performers through movement to make you feel great \u2013 both physically and mentally! By combining imagination with exercises inspired by physical theatre, dance and yoga practices, we give everyone the chance to take a break from the everyday, and become inspired. Participants will focus on the core principles of GOLKK\u2019s work \u2013 Presence, Improvisation and Play!
