{"id":3701,"date":"2020-05-26T13:09:19","date_gmt":"2020-05-26T12:09:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/arts-news\/?p=3701"},"modified":"2020-05-26T16:54:13","modified_gmt":"2020-05-26T15:54:13","slug":"alumni-comedy-troupe-the-noise-next-door-appears-on-britains-got-talent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/arts-news\/2020\/05\/26\/alumni-comedy-troupe-the-noise-next-door-appears-on-britains-got-talent\/","title":{"rendered":"Alumni comedy troupe The Noise Next Door appears on Britain&#8217;s Got Talent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thenoisenextdoor.co.uk\/\">The Noise Next Door<\/a>, a collective consisting of Kent graduates, have performed an improvised piece on TV talent show <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.itv.com\/britainsgottalent\">Britain&#8217;s Got Talent<\/a> <\/em>which aired on Saturday 23 May 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The Noise Next Door comprise the following: Sam Pacelli, who graduated with an MDrama in 2008; Tom Livingstone, also graduated with an MDrama, 2008; Matt Grant, who graduated with a BA (Hons) in Film in 2008; and Robin Hatcher, who graduated with an MDrama in 2013. The improv comedy troupe perform regularly at a range of events including the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/arts-news\/2019\/08\/21\/edinburgh-fringe-review-roundup\/\">Edinburgh Fringe Festival<\/a>, and have also appeared BBC One, BBC Three, ITV1, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 4. The group has performed alongside the likes of Michael McIntyre, Al Murray, and Harry Hill, an in 2014 they were nominated for a Chortle Award.<\/p>\n<p>In the improvised performance, The Noise Next Door ask judges David Walliams and Amanada Holden, as well as the live audience, to shout out suggestions for a new business. The group then perform a comedy song based on the suggestions, about a business run by <em>Britain&#8217;s Got Talent<\/em> presenters Ant and Dec, where air hostesses make wellington boots.
