Margherita argues that the two practices share fundamental ethical questions which lie at the core of our multicultural societies and can teach us to practice the skills we need to empathise with perspectives and world views distant from our own. Through a wide array of examples from different languages and cultures, Margherita makes the case that we should all become more familiar with how translation works and aware of its importance in today’s world.

The ebook is currently available via the publisher’s website, and the paperback version will be published later this month.

For more details, please see the publisher’s page here:

https://www.macmillanihe.com/page/detail/Theatre-and-Translation/?K=9781137611611

Dr Margherita Laera, Senior Lecturer in Drama and Theatre in the School of Arts, has published a new book entitled Theatre and Translation (Red Globe … Read more

[1335,50018,124,9111
