Doctoral students Marta Colombo, Stefano Farinelli and Katie Li, who are all undertaking the PhD in the History and Philosophy of Art<\/a> with the School of Arts<\/a>, have organised a conference in partnership with the Institute of Modern Languages Research<\/a>, entitled \u2018Lingering in the Memory Palace: Rethinking the Archive through the Arts\u2019, to be held on Monday 12 November 2019, 10.30am to 4pm in London.<\/p>\n

The conference will investigate the concept of the archive and its relationships with the arts and the history of art, with the speakers engaging in a constructive dialogue that crosses different disciplines with the wider artistic community to share opinions.<\/p>\n

The day will consist of five presentations, four of which will be delivered by Kent PhD students, with Dr Ben Thomas<\/a>, Reader in the Department of Art History<\/a>, as keynote speaker.<\/p>\n
