{"id":2805,"date":"2019-09-11T14:45:40","date_gmt":"2019-09-11T13:45:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/arts-news\/?p=2805"},"modified":"2019-09-11T14:45:40","modified_gmt":"2019-09-11T13:45:40","slug":"will-wollen-contributes-to-talk-to-me","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/arts-news\/2019\/09\/11\/will-wollen-contributes-to-talk-to-me\/","title":{"rendered":"Will Wollen contributes to \u2018Talk to Me\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/arts\/people\/academic-staff\/wollen.html\">Will Wollen<\/a>, actor and Senior Lecturer in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/arts\/drama.html\">Department of Drama and Theatre<\/a>, has lent his voice to a series of talking sculptures to go on display in King\u2019s Cross from this Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The installation \u2018Talk to Me\u2019 has been designed by Steuart Padwick and will be displayed as part of the festival \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedesignjunction.co.uk\/en\/home.html\">designjunction<\/a>\u2019, running from 19 to 22 September 2019 in the N1C area of London.<\/p>\n<p>The installation consists of two monumental interactive sculptures of cuboid wooden figures. As people walk by, a proximity sensor is triggered, and the figures will begin to voice poignant and uplifting words.
