As the Edinburgh Festival continues, we\u2019re thrilled to announce that our own graduates have received first-class reviews from the press for their performances.<\/p>\n

Jimmy McGhie, who graduated with a BA (Hons) in Drama<\/a> in 2002, performed his 9th<\/sup> show at the Fringe, called \u2013 appropriately enough \u2013 Jimmy McGhie BA (Hons)<\/em> at the Pear Tree<\/a>. The Scotsman<\/em> newspaper included his show in its \u2018Best Comedy Shows to See This Year<\/a>\u2019 feature.<\/p>\n

Laura Lexx, who graduated with an MDrama in 2009, has been performing\u00a0 Knee Jerk<\/em> at the Gilded Balloon<\/a>. <\/em>The Edinburgh Festival Magazine<\/a><\/em> rated her show a maximum 5 out of 5 stars<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tom Houghton, who graduated with an MDrama in 2008, has been performing That\u2019s What I Go To School For<\/em> at the Pleasance Jack Dome<\/a>, was rated 5 out of 5 stars by The Sunday Express<\/em> newspaper<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Noise Next Door, a collective consisting of Kent graduates, have been performing their Comedy Lock-In at the Pleasance Courtyard, with was awarded another 5 out of 5 stars<\/a> by the Wee Review. The collective have also been performing The Noise Next Door\u2019s Really Really Good Afternoon Show Through Time!<\/em>,\u00a0also at the Gilded Balloon, which One4Review rated a satisfying four out of five stars<\/a>. The Noise Next Door comprise the following: Sam Pacelli, who graduated with an MDrama in 2008; Tom Livingstone, also graduated with an MDrama, 2008; Matt Grant, who graduated with a BA (Hons) in Film<\/a> in 2008; and Robin Hatcher, who graduated with an MDrama in 2013.<\/p>\n

Finally, Tom Parry, who graduated with a BA (Hons) in Drama and English and American Literature in 2003, performed his show Parryoke!<\/em> at the Pleasance Courtyard. His show was reviewed by The Guardian <\/a><\/em>which awarded him four out of five stars<\/a>, and claimed \u2018we need bringers of joy\u2026 and Parry is one of the best around.\u2019<\/p>\n
