Deprez<\/a>, who has recently completed her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/courses\/postgraduate\/100\/history-and-philosophy-of-art\">PhD in History and Philosophy of Art<\/a> (HPA) at Kent, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/arts\/postgraduate\/research-students.html?tab=art-history\">Claire Anscomb<\/a>, who is conducting her PhD in HPA, have both been made editors of the journal <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.debatesinaesthetics.org\/\">Debates in Aesthetics<\/a><\/em> (formerly <em>the Postgraduate Journal in Aesthetics<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p><em>Debates in Aesthetics<\/em> is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal for articles, interviews and book reviews. Published by the <a href=\"https:\/\/british-aesthetics.org\/\">British Society of Aesthetics<\/a>, the journal\u2019s principal aim is to provide the philosophical community with a dedicated venue for debate in aesthetics and the philosophy of art.<\/p>\n<p>The journal aims to publish two issues a year. The summer\/autumn issue features original articles, book reviews and an interview with a senior philosopher of art or aesthetician. The winter\/spring issue concerns a senior philosopher of art or aesthetician. Commentaries on an original article by a senior philosopher, or the philosopher\u2019s existing published work, will be published alongside a response from the philosopher concerned.<\/p>\n<p>Eleen and Claire\u2019s first edited issue will be released in the Spring next year. They are currently inviting short papers in response to \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/www.debatesinaesthetics.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/TAYLOR_PRINTPROOF.pdf_2.pdf\">Black Reconstruction in Aesthetics<\/a>\u2019,\u00a0a new article by Professor Paul C. Taylor (Vanderbilt University), specially written for<em> Debates in Aesthetics<\/em>. More information will be released soon.<\/p>\n<p>Claire is in the final stages of her PhD, completed her thesis \u2018On the Significance of Automaticity in Image-Making Practices\u2019.
