{"id":1212,"date":"2016-05-17T10:11:16","date_gmt":"2016-05-17T09:11:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/arts-news\/?p=1212"},"modified":"2016-05-17T10:11:16","modified_gmt":"2016-05-17T09:11:16","slug":"school-of-arts-students-at-the-kent-student-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/arts-news\/2016\/05\/17\/school-of-arts-students-at-the-kent-student-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"School of Arts Students at the Kent Student Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Congratulations to Arts students Sarue Jokonya (Film),\u00a0Tabitha Porter (Drama) and\u00a0Hannah Trott (Drama) who all were finalists for the Kent Student Awards this year.<\/p>\n<p>In the category of <strong>Outstanding Contribution to Arts and Culture,<\/strong> Sarue Jakonya was awarded second place for founding the Canterbury University Film Festival (CUFF) which has added to Kent\u2019s film culture and overall student experience.<\/p>\n<div class=\"row-fluid\">\n<div class=\"span12\">\n<p>In the category of <strong>Outstanding Contribution to Arts and Culture<\/strong>,\u00a0Tabitha Porter was awarded third place for her excellent work as President of the T24 Drama Society and her dedication to promoting thought-provoking theatre.<\/p>\n<p>In the category of <strong>Outstanding Fundraiser of the Year,<\/strong>\u00a0Hannah Trott was awarded third place for her amazing contribution to fundraising activities that take place within Kent RaG and for her own individual fundraising efforts.<\/p>\n<p>We are incredibly proud that our students are contributing so much to university life and promoting the arts on campus and in Canterbury.
